The Golf Guy's 2023 New Year Goals
I have seen several influencers pose the question “what are your 2023 goals”? This got me thinking about what I really want to accomplish in 2023. As a result, I have decided to publish my 2023 goals to hopefully hold myself accountable to them. Here are my top four goals for 2023!
Goals:
Fully commit to a workout schedule 3-4x per week: People close to me know how much I hate going to the gym, but it has officially hit me, that if I want to compete more in competition I am going to need to get into better shape. To hold me accountable and track progress over the year, I have decided to document my journey on YouTube (Channel Link).
Cut My Handicap down to a 5: As of the end of 2022 my handicap sits at 9.8 (down from a ~14 to start the year) and the goal is to cut it in half. The plan is to continue with monthly swing coaching sessions and get at least 2-3 practice session per week (hopefully more as the weather gets nicer).
Continue Developing My Content Creation Skill Set: Over the last year I have invested more time in learning how to create more engaging content. I want to continue this momentum in 2023 and learn more about creating longer form content (For YouTube) while still doubling down on shortform content on Instagram.
Read More Books: This is something I loved to do as a kid but haven’t been great about in my adult life. Today, I still read, but when I do, it tends to me more article/news based and I would love to get back into the habit of reading books again. I am going to set the goal of reading one book a month as a starting point to start building this habit back into my daily life.
As I mentioned earlier, this is the first year I have actually documented these, nevertheless shared them publicly, so the hope is this will act as a bit of a forcing function to stay committed. Lets see how it goes!
