The Golf Guy's Holiday Gift Guide 2022
Excited to share my annual holiday gift guide with you all! Every item on this list has been carefully curated based on my own personal experience and should make a great gift for The Golf Guy or Gal in your life!
For all holiday shopping be sure to use Rakuten. If you don’t have Rakuten yet, be sure to use my referral link. What does Rakuten do? Rakuten gives you additional cashback for purchases at your favorite retailers (Nike, Macy’s, Adidas, Target and many more). Plus, when you sign up with this referral link and complete your first purchase of $40 you get $40 cash back!
The Golf Guy/Gal Apparel: I recently launched a line of hats and crewnecks and know they would make a great gift for the golfer in your life. Look here to browse and put your order in!
Putt Out Golf Mat & Accessories: I gifted myself one of these early in the 2022 golf season and can honestly say it has made a difference. I’ve tried a number of different putting mats over the years and personally think this is the best one out there. The set-up is incredibly easy, its easy to store, and gives me the ability to really hone in on my putting stroke. P.S. Putt Out has a number of great accessories like the putting mirrors, gates, and the new devil ball which would be great additions if you are really in the giving spirit!
Adobe Express: Christmas is a time of giving, and what better gift to give than the gift of convenience? Gifting someone with the tools needed to create stunning visuals or captivating messages quickly and easily is sure to make them smile. So how about giving full access to all of Adobe Express products, which will make business and personal creations a complete breeze: social media posts, business cards, logos, flyers, and more… all can be created in a matter of seconds.
Bluetooth Headphones: Something I will literally never leave the house without are my Bluetooth earbuds! I used wired headphones literally until a few months ago, but after tragically breaking at the gym, I finally decided to upgrade. I personally rock the Google Pixel Buds Pro (which are on sale for Black Friday FYI), but know many people also love the Apple Airpods or the Sony WF-1000XM4. My one recommendation regardless of brand is to try and pick an option with noise cancelation. They make all the difference when on noisy public transport or when flying.
Range Finder: Another must have accessory for any golfer is a good range finder! I’ve been using one for the last 10+ years and couldn’t imagine playing a round without one! I personally use a Bushnell, but a few other options (with some discount codes I’ve sourced from other influencers) are listed below.
Bushnell: Save $25 when you spend $100 at BushnellGolf.com by using coupon code SUBPAR25 during checkout
Precision Pro: Use “PINS20” for $20 dollars off
BlueTees: Use discount code “Hailey” to save
Patagonia Fleece Pullover: Bar none, my favorite pieces of clothing are my Patagonia Fleece Pullovers. I own four (all in different prints) and hope to collect another three, so I have a different one for each day of the week. They are super soft, warm, and come from a socially responsible brand. There is literally nothing not to love about these!
Tickets to a Professional Golf Tournament: I’ve been fortunate to have attended a number of professional golf tournaments over the last few years and can honestly say each one has been an absolute blast. Whether it be attending the US Open to visiting the Travelers Championship it is truly a pleasure to witness some of golfs best players.
Club Fitting Certificate: Something I would recommend to almost every golfer is to make sure they get their equipment fitted. If you are going to be spending hundreds, if not thousands of dollars on new equipment, make sure it is truly optimized for your swing. Getting a certificate from a fitting center like Club Champion or a local golf shop is guaranteed to put a smile on the golfer in your life.
Meta Quest Virtual Reality Headset: Probably one of the coolest items I own must be the Meta Quest. I have yet to meet someone who isn’t impressed with the technology once they have tried it on, and with titles like Golf+ to play multiplayer VR golf, now is as good a time as any to check it out (Referral Link for $30 free to the Oculus Store).
Golf Gloves: With golf brands like Asher Golf, Mariner Golf, and Aiden Ross reimagining the way golf glove look, the gift of a golf glove is no longer a boring option, but one that can really have some personality now.
Golf Scorecard Holder: Used by every professional golfer, a nice scorecard holder is a must have item for any golfer! I’ve been using the Scorecard Holder from Brickley Golf and have absolutely loved the classic look.
Custom Golf Balls: Some may say this is a waste given almost all golf balls will end up lost at some point, but I like to think of custom golf balls as a way to naturally differentiate yourself. Additionally, it is a fun little flex when you show your friends. During the holiday season sometimes, you can get it done for free so keep an eye out!
Golf Simulator Time: With daylight savings removing any hope of playing golf after work, getting out to a simulator is the next best thing! See if you have any local simulator centers close by that offer gift certificates!
Launch Monitor: A step up from gifting simulator time is to actually gift a launch monitor. These little gizmos are essentially personal golf simulators that in most cases can be used both indoor and out. I personally use the Flightsope Mevo+ (which is having their biggest sale ever this Black Friday). Here is a great post by MyGolf Spy that has detail on the best options on the market today.
Golf Lessons: Golf lessons make a great gift for golfers of any level! In my experience they are the best way to improve your scores which always makes the game more fun!
Massage Gun: After a long round of golf, or even after a day at the office, there is no better feeling than a few minutes with a nice massage gun. If you have the budget you can definitely go for some of the nicer brand like Theragun or Hyperice, but if I am being honest, the budget versions work nearly the same.
Fitness Tracker: As a bit of a data junkie myself, I love wearing a fitness tracker to understand how my activity levels have changed and how my health trends look. I currently use the Fitbit Charge 5 but also have used a Whoop which is also a great option.
Golf Belt: A must need to keep your pants from sagging, plus a great way to accessorize your outfit up! Check out Beltology if you are in the market!
Custom Ball Marker: Hands down my favorite custom accessory of all time is my Liberty Ball Marker. These are just another special way to spruce up your daily golf grab!
Chipping/Hitting Net: This item is space dependent, but if you have a garage or some space in the yard, getting a chipping net or full swing net is a great way to get some quick practice from the comforts of your own home. I personally use the Rukket sports SPDR Portable Driving Range and it performs great.
Headcovers: One of the best way to spice up the look of your golf bag is with new headcovers. There are so many different options, but some of my favorites include Daphne, Malbon, and Random Golf Club.
