Is Pebble Beach’s Dukes Club Membership Worth it?

Pebble Beach, arguably one of the most notable golf destinations in the world, also happens to be one of the most expensive. A typical round on the Pebble Beach can cost you $675, while Spyglass Hill comes in at a close second at $495, and The Links at Spanish Bay rounds out at a strong $350. That is not to mention that you also need to stay on resort to make advance tee times which can run you $700+ per night!

As a golf nut myself, all these courses were very high on my list to play, but there was no way I was going to pay those green fees + the hotel to play. That is when I heard about The Dukes Club Membership. For a price of $575 per year, you get SIGNIFICANT discounts to The Links at Spanish Bay, Spyglass Hill, and Del Monte along with several other benefits that more than pay off the membership. The best part is you can use this membership to book tee times up to 30 days in advance WITHOUT staying on-site AND you can bring up to three friends to play with you at the discounted rate!

The Golf Math

Membership Cost: $575

Benefits Total Value = $640 (Already pay for the membership)

  • 4 Rounds at The Hay (Tiger Woods Design Par 3 Course) = $300 ($75 x 4)

  • Free Round + Cart at Del Monte for 2 People = $310 ((130 + 25)*2)

  • Del Monte Grill Bucks = $30

Discounts: Now the discounts are where the real money is at! The Dukes club membership can give you 45% off at the links at Spanish Bay as well as 42% off at Spyglass hill! Additionally, because you can share the discounts with your friends you can save over $800 with one 4 ball tee time at Spyglass Hill or $620 for a 4 ball at The Links at Spanish Bay.

Does the Duke Club Let You Play Pebble Beach?

Technically, the Duke’s club does not provide an explicit Pebble Beach discount, but in my year as a Dukes Club member I have gotten emails (like the one below) providing exclusive one-off windows of time that allow members to book rounds without needing a room reservation. This alone is a huge savings given the average nightly rate at Pebble is nearly a thousand dollars!

How Much I Saved in 2024: My total value saved in 2025 was a whopping $2410

Rounds Played:

  • 2 Rounds at The Links At Spanish Bay

    • 2 Personal Rounds: $155 savings x 2 = $310

    • 4 Guests Brought: $155 savings x 4 = $620'

  • 1 Round at The Hay

    • 1 Personal Round: $75 Value (Coupon)

    • 3 Guests: $225 Value (Coupon)

  • 1 Round at Spyglass Hill

    • 1 Personal Round: $210 savings

    • 3 Guests: $630 Savings

  • Del Monte

    • 1 Round: $155 Value

    • 1 Guest: $155 Value

    • Grill Bucks: $30 value

Final Thoughts: The Duke’s Club membership, if used wisely, is one of the best memberships out there. It gives you access to booking, great benefits, and incredible discounts that will more than pay itself off. If you are interested in playing any of the Pebble courses, I would highly consider checking The Dukes Club out to save big. There is no joining fee and is super simple to apply!

P.S. if you do decide to join feel free to give my name “Vivek Tedla” as a referral in your application! I get a free round at Del Monte for it 😊.
